The head of SpaceX, Elon Musk, refused to recognize earthly laws in the future colony on Mars, which he plans to establish. The businessman declared this planet free, according to the Daily Mail.
The corresponding statement was published among the conditions for beta testing of user services of the Internet company Starlink, which belongs to SpaceX. The Governing Laws section states that the company does not intend to abide by earthly laws outside of Earth and the Moon, but will instead adopt principles of self-government "established in good faith."
The corresponding terms of service have been posted by Twitter users. They appeared a week after Musk announced plans to build a satellite system around Mars, as well as an autonomous city that will not depend on Earth for its survival.
Musk announced his plans to build such a settlement last week during a meeting of the Martian Society. He stressed that the city should be built before the Third World War, which, he hopes, will never happen, but after it, such a chance will definitely be unlikely. Ultimately, the businessman plans to send a million people to the Red Planet by 2050.
