AirCar

The renowned aerocar designer, creator and director of the Klein Vision company Stefan Klein has published a video of the first flight of the prototype of his AirCar flying car.

In the ground version, it is a four-wheeled two-seater car. Before takeoff, the tail section of the aerocar is lengthened by about 60 cm, opening compartments with wings that extend and unfold in a special way.

The flight of the aerocar is provided by an engine in the tail section and a two-bladed main rotor. After landing, the transformation from an airplane to a car occurs in the reverse order.

So far, nothing has been reported about the type of engines, drive system, speed and range on the ground and in the air. Klein Vision says that thanks to the lightweight composite body layout, it is expected to create 3, 4-seater, as well as twin-engine and amphibious versions of the AirCar.
