Ukrainian company Torsus has released the most extreme school bus in the world

The Czech-Ukrainian company Pulsar Expo has adapted the design of its so far only - but unique - Torsus Praetorian bus for the needs of various categories of users. The latest off-road version will surely impress schoolchildren around the world.

First of all, the Praetorian bus will be used in areas with extreme weather and natural conditions - for example, in the Canadian Arctic or in the Australian outback, where the roads for an ordinary school bus will be too tough.

It took quite a bit to turn the basic version of the Torsus Praetorian into a school bus - paint it in "school" yellow, apply appropriate warning labels and signs to the body, install additional lighting and make an emergency exit on the side.

The chassis, all the mechanics, a 286-horsepower 6.9-liter MAN diesel, a 4x4 system with locking front and rear differentials, parabolic spring-loaded front and rear suspensions, Michelin off-road tires remain unchanged from the base version. The school Torsus Praetorian can still negotiate obstacles up to 34 cm high, including flooded roads or trees felled after natural disasters.

The Praetorian is designed to carry 35 schoolchildren. Small passengers will be protected by seat belts, and for greater comfort during the trip, it is equipped with folding armrests and handrails at the entrance.

There is no detailed pricing information for the Torsus Praetorian yet, so a base price of $ 180,000 will have to be taken into account, which could rise to $ 300,000 with additional options.
