Windows 10X release date revealed

Microsoft's OS for dual-screen devices will launch in Spring 2021. This was announced on Twitter by journalist, network insider Zac Bowden.

According to Bowden, the final beta version of Windows 10X will arrive before the end of the year. The specialist clarified that we are talking about RTM (Release To Manufacturers), that is, a pre-release assembly of an operating system prepared for deployment on computers. It is most likely that the full OS release will take place in the spring of 2021.

Bowden also stressed that he had not heard that Microsoft is conducting or is going to conduct any sessions of public testing of the product. According to him, the company is expecting the release of the RTM version in order to then announce the start of testing the operating system.

Softpedia reporters recalled Microsoft's statement that Windows 10X will be prioritized for single-screen devices. According to them, the release of the full version for computers with multiple screens will take place before 2022.

In the summer, it became known that the release of an OS from Microsoft intended for devices with two displays had fallen apart . The delay was related to system improvements and the coronavirus pandemic. Insiders said that Windows 10X won't be released until 2021, with the company showing a version for single-screen computers first. A special build of the operating system for developers was announced in February.
